Even though Flash player has been in picture since the early 1996 – now the web is swiftly moving towards the new standard of HTML – the HTML5 . For many years the Video and Audio player market on the web was dominated by Flash ( solely owned by Adobe ) .Flash had proven to be very effective for creating online Video software , Games and music services – anywhere on the web still Flash has great dominance .
But slowly as the web has started moving towards hand held devices and mobile devices , and the number of people browsing the internet over such hand held devices has increased , Flash seemed to have many issues . One of the main issue being not able to use less CPU on such devices ( as mobile devices require much less CPU intrinsic software to run ) .The issue was prominently raised by apple – after its devices suffering heavy CPU usage due to Flash .Even though Adobe has released subsequent fixes , it was not enough .To tackle these issues and take mobile browsing to the next level HTML5 video player was the only answer . One other big concern with Flash content was – it was not Search friendly enough and didn’t allow search engines to index flash content . With HTML5 in picture – the content are more search engine friendly and can be accessed with any SEO tools . Lets wait and see how the dominance of HTML5 increases over the net .
